Hello,
I have been using Zyxel USG 110 since last few months. While I found restricting of file sharing websites, but I did not find anything to restrict the uploading of attachment to any email service like gmail, ymail, rediffmail, outlook etc. The objective is quite simple. The website will open as usual. But the user will not be able to attach anything in the email.

Please guide me if this is available in this firewall.
If it is not available, it is a request to add this facility in your upcoming updates.

Thank you

I have a zywall110 which is running with 4.39, default settings, and utm is disabled.
I have no problem uploading attachments in Gmail or Dropbox.
Is it possible that some antivirus software on your laptop block uploading?
How about using other laptops to try it again?

    jasailafan,

I think the concern is not understood well.

I am able to attach any attachment in the email clients.
But my objective is to restrict the uploading of attachment through firewall as a privacy concern of the company.

    Thank you.

Under UTM Profile suggest you review IDP functionality / consider adding bespoke interdictions where appropriate to satisfy your needs.

Currently, you can block file transferring using App Patrol for some mail service only.
Go to CONFIGURATION > Object > Application > Application > Add and click Add.
Search it by category or service name.

    Hello @Zyxel_Emily,

    Thanks for the reply,
Yeah, I found it for yahoo i.e. "Yahoo Mail (File transfer)". I will check it.

Moreover, it will be good if you can add for other popular email clients e.g. Gmail, rediff, outlook, hotmail, AOL etc.

    Thank you
