Hello Zyxel Team,

The content filter category "web ads" needs to be updated with latest signatures.
Though it could able to block some web ads but not all..

    Hi @chandan

The category is defined by McAfee engine.

When client access to Website, USG will also send URL to McAfee server for check category.

After received reply, system will do the action what you configured.

You can send request to change category:

    Hi @Zyxel_Stanley,

    Thanks for the reply.
I just want to make clarification on this issue.

Here, I do not say anything about wrong category of websites and all.
But I want to mention that, even though web ads are selected to be blocked in the Content filter, not all the web ads are blocked while browsing...

A simple example. Go to https://www.speedtest.net/, and see the number of annoying ads is getting displayed throughout the webpage.

Please check or consult with McAfee teams to update their web ads category...

    Thank you

    Hi @chandan

If you noticed some of WebAds did not block successfully, you can enable “Log all Web Pages”

And enable “Forward Web Sites” in category settings.

(Configuration > Log & Report > Log Settings > Log Category Settings)

Then you will find what URL is forwarded, and you can send request to change category.

    BTW, according to SpeedTest Website.

You can try to flush your browser cookie or use incognito mode prevent old cache.

WebAds should able block by content filter successfully.

    Hey thanks for the reply...

Actually it is making a huge log among which identifying the ad category is really a difficult task indeed.

May be need to search at the instance of ad display in the website...
Anyway, I will try to find the odd category in the content filter and make a report here.
