Well, it is possible. Too bad, this has to be done over telnet (i.e unsecured communication device). 

Hope official way to perform this change would be possible at some point.

Thanks for your sharing!
We have noticed that there might be method of making certificate as you did on GS1900. 
Due to this is not a formal feature on GS1900, we can not guarantee the performance of it. 
Therefore, we do not recommend users to use it. 
As mentioned in the previous discussion, this feature will be added in Zyxel switch except for GS1900 series because it is an entry level managed switch.

What is the news on this? When can one import SSL-certificates on Zyxel Switches?

On what Firmware version will that be (release when?) and on what Switch series will that be feature be?

The import certificate feature will be launch on XGS4600-32/32F (firmware version 4.60) first this coming December.

Why exclude GS1900? Importing certificate worked perfectly fine.

For XGS2210 series, the feature will be enhanced in the upcoming firmware 4.70 which is scheduled at 2020 Q3Q4.

We have a light change to the release schedule of XGS2210 version 4.70.
It will be released in 2021 Q1.
