Increase SMTP password character limit in Zywall 1100

Does anyone know of a way to increase the current character limit (31) of SMTP passwords in Zywall 1100? All SMTP relay services we use need a 40 character API keys to be used as passwords, but this limitation of Zywall is making it unusable. Any ideas/suggestions?
