Sharing dhcp history between usg300 and usg2000

Can dhcp tables be transferred between a usg2000 and a usg300, so the usg300 can seamlessly take over dhcp management from the 2000 including lease times and ip/mac binding?

Hello hansjalbertsson,
Here is the one solution for your case. You need to copy the IP/MAC binding rules and lease time rule of Lan(USG300)from configuration file, and paste to (USG2000) configuration file.
Here is example(do ip/mac binding on ge1)
ex:
download start-up.conf from USG300 first, and find the wording "ip dhcp pool LAN_POOL"(copy lease 1 1 2). (Picture1)
Moreover, copy the parameters of IP/MAC binding and it will display before "interface ge1"(Each rule need to be separated by "!")(picture 2)
Find the wording" interface ge2" and copy whole profile name of ip/mac binding.(picture 3)
After you copy the whole parameters, please paste them to USG 2000's configuration file.
find the wording "ip dhcp pool LAN_POOL"
Find the interface ge1, paste the whole parameters before interface ge1(check picutre 2)(Each rule need to be separated by "!")
Find the wording" interface ge2" and paste whole parameters between type internal and "!".(picture 3)
After you paste whole parameters, go to the interface page to enable IP/MAC binding feature.

I shall try this. But the other way around, of course. I want to move data from the 2000 to the 300.
Couldn't the usg300 be set up as a HA partner to the usg2000, and then we could force a failover when we need to work on the usg2000?0 -
I think the HA can only run between "the same models" or there will be port setting conflict if users want to do HA between different models that have different port number (e.g usg50 usg300).0
-
So if you stay within the ports common to both models, like ge1 to ge6 for usg300/2000, it might work?0

Hello hansjalbertsson,
For this case,
try the steps which I mentioned on previous post first, and if any question please let me know.
Secondly, for the question of HA,
The conditions of doing HA are that two usg of the same model, with the same FW version and with the same configuration, so USG2000 cannot do HA with USG300.
