hello guys
trying to setup email notification on an usg200...smtp gmail.port 465.smtp authentification, just like my email software...nothing at all, no error message, nope...any clue?

    Hello plateau1807,
    For the configuration of email log, you need to double check setting as below.
    1. the gmail server name is smtp.gmail.com
    2. Enable"TLS Security" and "STARTTLS"
    3. The Gmail port is 587, please check the this link: https://www.lifewire.com/what-are-the-gmail-smtp-settings-1170854
    4.You need to change some setting as below on Gmail account:
    please go to this website:  https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps
    Please select "Turn on" access for less secure app and check it again.
    Here is an example from FAQ as your reference.

    hello and thks
    unfortunately, it doesn't work. tried 465-587-25, ssl, xls, no ssl, no xls...my gmail parameters are ok (allow less secure app...) all possibilities.nothing's working...strange thing, on the same lan I've got a backup software which sends email notification with my gmail account on port 25 (SSL, authentification) and it's alright...can't figure it out..

    Are you using the latest available firmware for your ZyWALL USG 200? Latest stable firmware is 3.30(AQU.7)C0:

    please upload this firmware version:330AQU7ITS-WK48-r74988 and test again.

    Try Less secure apps

    Log in to your Gmail account through a web browser and enable access through less secure apps . Less secure apps can make your account more vulnerable, Google will automatically turn this setting off if it's not being used. However, bypass this security setting with a configuration tweak within your Google Email Account .

    How "more secure apps" help to protect your account?

      Which level of access you're giving the client before you connect your Account.

      Client access only a relevant part of your Account, like your email or calendar.

      Connect your Google Account to the client without exposing your password.

      Disconnect your Google Account from the client at any time.

    You need to go into configuration\system\notification\mail server section and fill that area out as well as the log settings area. Then the 68000 message will go away
