MULTY - assign device to band?

Just got MULTY last week, and it has one name that intelligently assigns to either the 2.4 or 5 ghz band. However, it hasn't been the best at choosing, as it has put my main desktop (which has a a fast ac adapter) to the 2.4 band. I would like to be able to switch them after it has assigned them. Is there any way to do that as of yet?

MULTY is put your device on the best band automatically. Unless, you separate SSID for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Hoping MULTY can support the feature that assign device to specific band manually.0

I am curious why it doesn't choose the best band. Doesn't the band steering feature work well?
How do you know you desktop connect to 2.4GHz not 5GHz?
