Join VLAN based on SSID of the AP

hi all,
I bought an AP (NWA110AX) and a managed switch (GS1920-24v2).
Currently I set up the AP with 2 SSID (ie: Zyxel1Net, Zyxel2Net) and I'm trying to create two different VPN on the switch based on the tag sent by the AP, but without good results.

What I'm expected:

item 1 (wifi client) --> AP(Zyxel1Net) --> switch(VLAN1)
item 2 (wifi client) --> AP(Zyxel1Net) --> switch(VLAN1)
item 3 (wifi client) --> AP(Zyxel2Net) --> switch(VLAN2)
item 4 (wifi client) --> AP(Zyxel2Net) --> switch(VLAN2)

My questions are:
1) is it possible to tag directly on AP and to catch the packets on the switch and then to assign them to a specific VPN?
2) as a fallback in case of the answer of the previous question is "NO", I'm trying to create a MAC based VPN directly on the switch (I manually add the network items properly) but as soon I create this VPN with new VID all the packets from this network item are dropped, and the item excluded from the WLAN.

Is there a correct and (more or less) simple way to achieve this goal?

thanks

    Hi @mcarlett,

    Welcome to Zyxel community!

    I assume your AP and Switch are in standalone mode, and their management VLAN are in VLAN1.

    For AP, you should be able to configure VLAN ID for those SSIDs.
    Zyxel1Net is VLAN1 and Zyxel2Net is VLAN2.

    For Switch, you may configure VLAN Trunking on the port which connects to AP.
    The location is at Advanced Application > VLAN > VLAN configuration > VLAN Port Setup.
    (Ex: AP connects to Switch port 1)

    Hope it helps.

    AFAIK, currently
    SSID1 -> vLANx
    SSID2 -> vLANy

    Depending on which vLAN is delivered to your AP and which correspondence is made into configuration between SSIDs and vLANs

    thank you very much Jason! Here what I'm missed, by the way the switch continues to avoid to create the VLAN2, is there anything else to do ?

    Have I to configure something on static VLAN too?

    thank you again for your help!

    Hi @mcarlett,

    If you have enabled VLAN Trunking on two ports, which one connects to AP and the other one is the uplink port, you don't need to create VLAN2 on the Switch.

    If you would like to create new VLAN on the Switch, you may keep following the path below when you see the screen you provided.
    VLAN Configuration > Static VLAN Setup

    Hope it helps.
