Hi there,

i have a big problem with my switch. even when i login to the web interface i will immediately logged off.
I have these problem on all my windows clients with all browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge).
by using linux the problem will not effect.

my workaround at the moment is not to reconfigure the snmp configuration.
So my login will start in the warning page:
Warning:
  1. The SNMP community is used for SNMP management and is set to public by default.
Then i can navigate to all settings and all work fine as long as i don't click the status button on the right top corner.

i have the problem from the beginn and over 2 firmwareupdates [at the moment the newest V2.70(AAHL.1)].

Can anyone help me.
I can also send a captured video with this effect (if there is a way to post it).

Best regard,
ravn

    Hi @ravn83,

    Welcome to Zyxel Community!
May I know this issue happen when you click the status button on the right top corner or after you login to web GUI?
May you PM me the video and your configuration to let me try to reproduce in office?

  • Hi Melen,

    thank you.
this happens every time i go to the status page.
after a factory reset i got the warning or snmp and the default admin password.
when i configure both, i automaticaly start after login on the status page.
then i start to configure ...:
    - System -> IP --> static IP in my rage
    - System -> Time --> My timezone and Timestamp
    - System -> Information --> Systemname and location

    - VLAN -> VLAN --> i created a second VLAN

    - Management -> SNMP ---> i changed the comunity name to solve the warning above
    - Management -> Users --> i set a new password for the admin user

That it. Then my problem happens.

Maybe i ca be important i access the webui over the ip address.
i will capture the issue and send the video via pm to you.

    Thanks for your help.

    best regards,
    ravn

PS: my workaround (i also wrote above) is not to change the community name for snmp, so i can move to all settings on the menu band from the warning page.

    Hi @ravn83,

Thanks for the information and the video.
I found that the firmware your are using is V2.70(AAHL.0) but not V2.70(AAHL.1).
This issue did happen in V2.70(AAHL.0) and we fix it in V2.70(AAHL.1).
You may check the V2.70 patch 1 release note.
If a window session is not terminated by using the “Logout” button, after HTTP/HTTPs session timeout, any new web session afterward s , the Web G U I will always redirect to the s witch login page when user click “Ignore”, “Getting Started” or “Status” tab.
Please upgrade to V2.70(AAHL.1) to fix your issue.

  • Thanks for your fast reply.
But i have the same issue with the new firmware version too.
The video is captured with the new firmware version (i installed it yesterday, before i created this issue)

Or is a factory reset with the new firmware recommended?

    Hi @ravn83,

May I know did you reboot after select V2.70(AAHL.1) as active image?
If you didn't reboot after select V2.70(AAHL.1) as active image, the switch is still using V2.70(AAHL.0) as running image and the issue won't be fixed.
May you reboot switch and check again?

  • I faced the same issue on the GS1900-8 and GS1900-24E and a hard power cycle (just powero off/on) allowed me to use the webinterface again. This way I could update the firmware.
