Hi @Mk88_it ,
We have been closely monitoring your case. During our recent access to your firewall, we did not observe the issue.
However, now we confirm that the symptom has reappeared with your firewall, please keep the firewall in its current state, avoid rebooting the device if possible.
We will investigate the issue immediately.1 -
Yes, you can try now!

So for some reason when setting up for console cable with right settings it was not working (text output mess) on reboot it then show it was booting by PuTTY so I know the settings are right so another 24hr before the UI becomes unstable hope the console cable stays working this time

@PeterUK I configured the serial connection from my laptop and the USG flexH without issue while having the gui errors : I used one console cable that i found in an ATP box and one generic adapter serial-to-usb, then I used putty with this configuration, selecting the right COM port

It just happened to me too, brand new firewall, was changing LAN interface config - boom.
I logged into SSH, but no console response - after a minute I got this "Waiting for netconf server during 60 seconds"
Refresh Browser, logged in again
Circle circle circle, nothing is loading
Console sitting at NETCONF timeout
now:
more waiting in hopes it recovers
Now i have a prompt after waiting around 5 minutes i guess.
The web interface recovered too, as far as i can tell.
So i did not do a reboot, i just waited….I go back into the interface (it gives me the apply window again, so it did not save it, but it does show what I changed)
I hit apply, now the changes were made.
— I disabled DHCP and changed the IP Address - maybe thats a hint for the engineers.Maybe it did not like 2 changes at once (disable DHCP AND change the ip/subnet)
I changed it back to before. (Default IP and DHCP on)
Then I tried again. Stopped DHCP and changed IP and Subnet.
Same problem again.
So replay is possible!
But now, it is always asking this
even if I click apply, go back into the interface it asks again. Cancel does the same thing.
A view via console:
ethernet ge3
enabled true
type internal
default-snat
enabled true
..
ping-check
enabled false
method icmp
port 1
period 30
timeout 5
fail-tolerance 5
probe-condition any
..
ipv4
address 192.167.0.254/20
primary-address 192.167.0.254/20
enabled true
..
ipv6
enabled true
..
ports p3
ports p4
ethernet
mac-address auto3
..
..OK, so i revert back again. and finally it stops asking to apply.
Now lets do this 1 step at a time. First I will disable DHCP:
It says changes applied successfully … lets get back into it:
and the apply shows up again even thou I changed nothing yet.
Unfortunately, a reboot did not fix this. It keeps showing up as if there was something to apply, but there isn't since no changes have been made.
Even if i change it in console. It keeps asking to apply (assuming this is like commit on the console)

Just to give you a little update: Zyxel dev team checked my device yesterday for 50 mins with local console connection and then they confirmed the bug. They are working on new firmware release with bugfix.
