Hi @Zyxel_Melen
We have now completed simultaneous packet captures on both the DHCP server and affected wireless clients.
Findings:
- DHCP Discover and Request packets are successfully transmitted from the wireless client.
- The DHCP server receives these packets and responds appropriately.
- However, the wireless client does not receive DHCP Offer/ACK responses.
- Additionally, affected clients using statically assigned IP addresses are still unable to communicate with the default gateway.
- Packet captures also show repeated ARP requests from wireless clients with no ARP replies received.
Wired clients on the same network/VLAN function correctly.
This indicates the issue is not DHCP pool exhaustion, as static IP communication also fails. The evidence instead points toward a Layer 2 forwarding/bridging issue affecting wireless clients between the AP infrastructure and the wired network.
My first post will also explain additional troubleshooting completed.
Kind regards
Sean
