Thanks for your prompt responce.
932Thanks for your prompt reply!Actually, I wanted to build a Linux firewall, but I didn't want to deal with the GUI. I'm from the days when everything was done via the command line... I kind of suspected as much; the limit should be based on the number of hosts and the network mask used. So, the USG50 up to the 200H just isn't too small for me. The idea with the other DHCP server is a good one and feasible. Whether I should just stick with the Unix machine then, we'll see.
I dutifully bought licenses for the Content Filter Pack last week; I guess that was a bit hasty.
Thanks for the link. Of course, I looked up the limits beforehand. I would never have thought to look for them. I currently have a ZyWall35, which can handle 128 static DHCP entries... all of them are occupied! Thanks for your effort; your answer was very helpful and clarified things!0

Sadly like other stuff in the world the lower the hardware the less it can be limited to do so you have to look for a better model.
The listing for this limit is on page 926
https://download.zyxel.com/USG_FLEX_50/user_guide/USG%20FLEX%2050-UG.pdfA FLEX 100H can do 128 FLEX 200H 256
your other option is run another Server DHCP or and I'm not sure this but is the limit per network? in which case you can segment your devices on different networks
