Board X710 and SFP+ module 10Gtek and switch XGS1935 no connection at startup

I am writing because I am experiencing the following issue.

I have an Intel X710 network adapter installed in my PC, and in one of its two ports I have inserted a 10Gtek AXS85-192-M3+ 10G SFP+ SR 850nm transceiver.

On the other end, I have a Zyxel XGS1935 switch with the same 10Gtek SFP+ transceiver installed.

The PC is running Debian 13, and I have updated the X710 adapter to the latest firmware available on Intel’s website, version 9.57.

When I power on both devices simultaneously (the switch and the PC—this happens in my case because they are installed in an industrial machine), the link between the two transceivers does not come up, and as a result the network interface remains down.

If I remove and reinsert one of the transceivers while the PC is running, the link is established immediately and everything works correctly.

I have also tried replacing both 10Gtek transceivers with the AXS13-192-10+ 10G SFP+ LR 1310nm model, and in that case everything works perfectly. Even when the switch and the PC are powered on simultaneously, the link comes up correctly and the connection is established without any issues.

If I replace the switch with the old XGS1930 model, the problem does not occur.

I also tried using the XGS1250-12 model instead of the XGS1935 switch, but I still experience the problem with this model. However, if I use the previous version, the XGS1010-12, the problem does not occur.

Do you have some suggests?

    Yes looks to be a compatibility problem question is can it be fixed in firmware or it to hardware?

    I had similar problems when a had setup a XGS1250-12 with 1.25/2.5/5/10GBase-T SFP+ RJ-45 CAT.6a Kupfer Transceiver (ASF-10G2-T Marvell AQR113C) by 10Gtek where on reboot of the XGS1250-12 the link sometimes did not work but removing and reinsert sometimes made it work.

    Seem like a bootup delay that if the switch tries so many times it gives up?

Zyxel may not offer technical support for networking issues that are identified as being caused by IOP with third-party modules.
