USG Flex 100, changes in security profiles not saved

Hello,

I don't know since when, but my Zyxel USG Flex 100 is not saving any changes to existing security profiles, not at config details and also not of at least the names. Reboot of USG did not help, issue still exists.

Current Version: V5.42(ABUH.1)

Released Date: 2026-02-08 02:18:35

What is also strange: If I go to "policy control" there always seems to be an active filter, because I can only see some of the policies, not all. But there is no active filter and if I click on "Search" (without any changes at the filters) the rest of the policies appear.

    Please allow me to ask some questions to clarify this issue:

    1. What method did you try to adjust the settings? From web GUI or CLI?
    2. What configuration did you change? Could you share some screenshot or video so we can replicate it?
    3. To better identify this issue, could you help to create a security policy to allow us to access your firewall and replicate this issue? If yes, please follow this FAQ to set the security policy. And provide the access IP and login credential with me via private message. (Click my name and you will see an user information window with the message button, and then click the message button)

Changing from Active <> Inactive works, this is saved when I come back to the policy control site, but if I change for exampe I changed for example the "IPv4 Source" it isjust shown directly after I exit the config frame, but directly after pushing "Apply" to safe the changes on the USG, the frame refreshes and the old IPv4 source apperas in the policy overview again. Looking into details also shows the old setting again.
    3. We can do in a couple of days.

    Changing the Source IP by CLI is accepted and remains in the setting of a sec policy. Can be checked by CLI again and also by web GUI.
