Can I update to 4.80(ABQF.5) ?

Hi

During mid 2025 I got a special PoE firmware update over TFTP plus a std firmware update in a combo to get rid of the wrongly ghost log messages regarding PoE. This on the XS1930-12HP. No real PoE problems, just ghost messaging trying to tell me something was wrong..

At that point I got a special “V4.80(ABQF.4)20250506”, i.e the same version as the official release but with different firmware content (the official 4.80(ABQF.4 was released 2024).

Now… My switch works flawlessly. But…. I want to know if I can upgrade to future official firmwares like the newer 4.80(ABQF.5) that is now public without getting the problem back. I.e is my fix in this new official firmware? The release notes says nothing… Why not? Fix not there?

    It might be not all fixes are listed.

    We have confirmed that the latest version 4.80 (ABQF.5) includes the fixes from V4.80 (ABQF.4) 20250506, so you can upgrade with confidence.
    We will also update the external release notes as soon as possible.
