On a nwa130be why did 160 mhz for 6g double my client speed?

My test device (iPhone 17) was averaging 1gbs down and when I changed bandwidth on 6g radio to 160mhz it doubled to 2gbs. Why?

    Probabily because you passed from 80Mhz to 160Mhz and you doubled the bandwidth.

    The important distinction is that 160 MHz doesn't mean the Wi-Fi link is guaranteed to be twice as fast. It means the radio has twice the channel bandwidth available. If the client can use the additional spectrum efficiently, the PHY rate can increase substantially.

    It seems like you got really good speed with your iPhone. I'm curious what you'd like us to look into further. Could you share more details about what you observed — for example, which band and bandwidth setting you were using when you got 1Gbps, and what you changed to get 2Gbps?
