Hello everyone,
I've enabled the secondary boot partition and today I've updated the standby partition with the newest firmware.
After applied the new firmware, the Flex 500H rebooted turning on the standby partition without confirmation.

It's possible to disable the reboot of the FW if the update is executed on the standby partition?

Thank you

    Hi @PeterUK,

Yes my question is why and if this behaviour can be modified to update the standby partition and then let the user to decide when reboot using it.

Ultimately, you are updating the standby partition, not the current one. It makes sense for the current partition, but it might not for the one in standby.

Well most of the time when you update something you need to reboot depending on what that might be like a firewall, TV and BIOS on a MB there are some exceptions like a OS where you might have unsaved stuff and want to reboot later.

I guess the window when you select the firmware should say this will reboot the USG but really now you know treat it like a MB BIOS update

Yes I know, but my doubt is only that I have updated a "non-working" partition (the standby).
I can decide to update the standby partition and then decide to use it only later (for example after 1 month).

Why you can decide alone to reboot and mark this partition as current?
The correct procedure for me is to update the standby partition and let to user to decide how and when activate this partition.

Think at a production environment, push an update to a standby partition, but apply this update only at saturday or sunday.
For example a windows upgrade work as it, you can decide to download an update and later apply it.
