You can do this by editing the backup and restore, as you have to change 2 fields at the same time via the GUI.

YMMV and this hack is at your own risk.

I can see the XGS1210-12 got a firmware update on June 28 (https://www.zyxel.com/us/en/support/DownloadLandingSR.shtml?c=us&l=en&kbid=M-03313&md=XGS1210-12) where the changelog mentions https and management vlan.

Great work Zyxel, that looks like what I was waiting for! Now 802.1X (level2 authentication) would make the switch a perfect beast; but worry not Zyxel people, I won't delay my order any further over this

Now I checked updates for the XGS1250-12 (https://www.zyxel.com/us/en/support/DownloadLandingSR.shtml?c=us&l=en&kbid=M-03417&md=XGS1250-12), which is more interesting to me because I can benefit from 10Gbs without having to buy an expensive additional SFP+ ethernet module and go through the compatibility lottery with it. Sadly it did not get that June update; is there hope it gets updated too in the near future?

Last but not least: while the firmware update does mention management vlan, I cannot see the switch's documentation mentioning the new feature; in fact the user manual did not get any update since February 2020; last year. I went through countless orders and returns of switches from other brands not fulfilling their promises related with management vlan or https. My paranoid ass is now not secure the newly "management vlan" feature indeed allows the management vlan to be set to any vlan number, and it is not a management vlan locked to vlan 0, vlan1 or any other non-settable vlan number.

Can someone confirm the "management vlan" feature is indeed what MWPP asked for in the beginning of this thread?

Thanks for paying close attention with our release. 

XGS1250-12 has already supported changing management VLAN and https access in the latest firmware version V1.00(ABWE.0)C0.

We will update the user guide in the near future.
