Attention Zyxel lads 我的台湾朋友, this problem reproduceable on these + web browsers : Brave, Safari, Firefox etc when editing/accessing(browsing) a Zyxel community forum web post using 'code', 'spoiler' or 'quote' formatting.

Scenario

After editing a post on the above using formatting "code" or "quote" or "spoiler" for a particular text box, that the resulting 'Preview" or futher unsolicited access to that page yields a mess of html/css ? raw directives and most unreadable jumble of text.

refer below where the text  block has been formatted as 'code'

<div>Router> show crypto map&nbsp; VTI7_usg60-lab2_connection</div><div>cryptography mapping: VTI7_usg60-lab2_connection</div><div>&nbsp; VPN gateway: VTI7_usg60-lab2_gateway</div><div>&nbsp; Gateway IP Version: IPv4</div><div>&nbsp; encapsulation: tunnel</div><div>&nbsp; active protocol: esp</div><div>&nbsp; transform set: 1</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; encryption: aes128</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; authentication: sha512</div><div>&nbsp; SA lifetime: 86400</div><div>&nbsp; PFS: none</div><div>&nbsp; nail up: yes</div><div>&nbsp; scenario: vpn-tunnel-interface</div><div>&nbsp; l2tp: no</div><div>&nbsp; local policy: any</div><div>&nbsp; remote policy: any</div><div>&nbsp; protocol type: any</div><div>&nbsp; configuration provide:&nbsp; &nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; mode config: no</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; configuration payload: no</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; address pool:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; first dns:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; second dns:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; first wins:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; second wins:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; policy enforcement: no</div><div>&nbsp; replay detection: no</div><div>&nbsp; narrowed: yes</div><div>&nbsp; adjust mss: yes</div><div>&nbsp; mss value: 0</div><div>&nbsp; stop rekeying: no</div><div>&nbsp; NetBIOS broadcast over IPSec: no</div><div>&nbsp; outbound SNAT: no</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; source:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; destination:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; target:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; inbound SNAT: no</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; source:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; destination:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; target:&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; inbound DNAT: no</div><div>&nbsp; vcp reference count: 0</div><div>&nbsp; active: yes</div><div>&nbsp; VTI: vti7</div><div>&nbsp; VPN ID: 8</div><div>&nbsp; connected: yes</div><div>&nbsp; connectivity check: no</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; check method: none</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; IP address: none</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; period: none</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; timeout: none</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; fail tolerance: none</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; port: none</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; log: no</div><div>&nbsp; rule type: 4in4</div><div>Router></div>

Problem Issue

The resulting jumbled text degrades the information in the post that of assistance to other forum members and the good lads at Zyxel Tech support in Taiwan .

Refine:

Fundamentally the use of  "code" or "quote" or "spoiler" formatting in a Zyxel forum post is useless presently...
  • this used to :#  ( work in the PREVIOUS older forum when it was first started )

Reproduceable:

Yes, common browsers Safari, Firefox, Brave and even the distasteful Windows 10 Pro Edge browser.

Workaround: (hmmm ...)

Dont use the formatting for   "code" or "quote" or "spoiler" in the Zyxel forum web site.

Diagnostics:

refer to attached images from Windows 10 Pro and MacOS 10.15.6 and MacOS 11.1
