BWM Setting
Hi,
Im using USG310 to connect a point-to-point lease line and would like to setup BWM to control the bandwidth.
there is 2 VOIP device on both site i setup to below BWM configuration
I have some question on bandwidth shaping. The local VOIP has 2 way traffic (in/out).
so, if i want to limited the bandwidth to 1.5 MB and give highest priority on this device.
What is the setting on Bandwidth Shaping ?
My current setting like below:-
Criteria
Incoming interface GE1(the port plugged Lease line),
outgoing interface GE8 (the port plugged VOIP)
Source: (the IP address of the remote site)
Destination: (IP address of local voip)
Bandwidth Shaping
Guaranteed Bandwidth:
Inbound: 768 kbps, Priority: 7
Outbound: 768 kbps, Priority: 7
Is it correct ? or create 2 rows of configuration to specific the inbound and outbound traffic ?.
thanks in advance

Hi @JOEY,
This BWM rule only applies on connection initialized from GE1 to GE8, it does not have effect on VOIP connection which is initialized from GE8 side (initial connection from lan). You should add one more BWM rule to control connection from GE8 to GE1.

Thanks, is it mean i create 2 rules, like below:-
1) GE1 to GE8
Bandwidth Shaping
Guaranteed Bandwidth:
Inbound: 768 kbps, Priority: 7
Outbound: 0 kbps, Priority: 0
2) GE8 to GE1
Guaranteed Bandwidth:
Inbound: 0 kbps, Priority: 0
Outbound: 768 kbps, Priority: 7
