RT3090 B/G/N COMPATIBILITY

Hi, I'm at my father's house and trying to connect his Windows 7 HP laptop to a Zyxel VMG3925-B10C router.
The network card in the laptop is Ralink RT3090 802.11b/g/n and the driver is the latest one.
The laptop connects to the WiFi but without Internet connection.
If I log into the 192 page and turn off the security - the laptop connects.
If I use the standard WPA2 setting there's no Internet connection.
On the 'others' tab:
802.11 Mode = 802.11b/g/n Mixed
802.11 Protection = Auto
Does anyone have any suggestions I could try please or is this a simple non compatible issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mart,
“If I log into the 192 page and turn off the security - the laptop connects.” --- does it mean the laptop can access to internet when select to no security?
Can you please help to share fw version of your device?
