How can a company offer a security product that locks you out?

I mean this is just beyond BS. I was forced to change a password on a USG60, no big deal. but now I can't login. Its a remote site 2400 miles away, how am I supposed to do this?

Zyxel, any solutions? Seriously what are you guys smoking there???

If the new password start with 2 “$”, it have issue to save new password. 

Just in case, please don’t use any special character when you set up new password at V4.30&V4.31. After you update to V4.33, you can set back the password again with special character.

Can you please (please!) just give us the piece of code that handled the f'd up password change? This way we can see what the code made of it and we can login and change the password without the back-up and recovery hassle?

If you don't want to post it here, you can message it to the people asking for it (again, please!)

We cannot see the password from backend, the only way to recovery it is by the following sop to recovery back.

Thanks for the reply, but it didn't answer my question.I know you can't recover passwords from the backend and that's a good thing. What I want to do is use the piece of code that set's the password and make it output it's result on screen when I use my password as input. This way I can see what it did to the password. How it changed it.

So the question remains, can you or can you not provide me with the piece of code that parses the password from the webinterface to the backend?
