I want to feed an expensive sound amplfier with data to its Digital converter through a POE port. I understand if the POE is active and there is no demand of electric power from the amplifier, the port will not send also electricity but only data, so there is no risk of damage. But if it is passive it might deliver power that could put my amplifer and a satellite decoder in danger. Am I safe to use POE ports of the GS1005 with those devices please?

@Amarquesgo,
We follow the IEEE standard and our PoE is not passive therefore you're safe to use it.Chris
