L2TP VPN with Active Directory Authentication, Phone Number for 2FA

I have some implementations of L2TP VPN with Active Directory Authentication running. Now Clients want to use 2FA.
Is it possible to get a mobile-number from the ad user to be used for 2FA sms?
Did anybody already implement this?
