Good News! 2.5Gbps <--> 1 Gbps Compatibility - XS1930-10
A few weeks ago I posted a question about the ability of the XS1930-10 switch to support 2.5 Gbps <--> 1 Gbps traffic (Multi-Gig to 1Gbs). I tested it and it works fantastic for my configuration. Prior to the XS1930, I tested Netgear and the little brother multi-gig Zyxel with no luck. Prior to the Xs1930 every time I was uploading between 2.5Gbps and 1Gbps devices I was getting around 500 Mbps. Now with the XS1930 I can get the ful1 1Gbps.
Additionally, XS1930 has an option to add a port buffer specifically for the above scenario and it is explained in the user's guide. Even without the port buffer, the XS1930 can handle it.
