Spanning tree limitation

Hi,

Can someone tell me how many GS2210 switches can be looped together? Is there the same 7 switches limitation still valid?

    Hello,

    As I know spanning-tree can support at most 14 devices in a loop.
    According to your description, I assume that you have 7 devices installed with spanning-tree.
    So it should be enough for you.

    Sorry for the late response!

    In practice, the largest number of switches we have successfully tested in a single spanning tree ring is 16 switches using default settings. This should work for our GS2210 and other SMB switch models.
    Although, in theory, it is possible to add even more switches in the ring. However, we cannot guarantee the stability of the RSTP ring once we go pass 16 switches.
