Question about routing on zyxel usg 40

Hi,

I have network on lan1 (eth1) - 192.168.0.1/24,
network lan2 (eth2) 10.212.4.254/29, from eth2 port there is a link (from internet service provider) to remote office 192.168.12.0/24, router in remote office site has ip address 192.168.12.1. I can ping router 192.168.12.1 from eth2:

# ping 192.168.12.1 -n -c 3
# ping 192.168.12.1 -n -c 3 -I eth2
PING 192.168.12.1 (192.168.12.1) from 10.212.4.254 eth2: 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 192.168.12.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=61 time=0.714 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.12.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=61 time=0.583 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.12.1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=61 time=0.588 ms

How can i connect to remote office site from 192.168.0.1/24? do i need policy route or static route to achieve connectivity?

tnx in advance

    Hi @netddin2,

    Welcome to Zyxel community. :)
Does your service provider allow subnet 192.168.0.1/24 routing to remote office 192.168.12.1/24?
  • tnx for your answer but i resolved the problem by adding policy route from lan1 - source lan1 subnet - destination 192.168.12.0 - next hop gw on subnet 10.212.4.254/29

Also added security policy rule lan1 to lan2 allow all.

but know i have to configure that lan 192.168.12.0 can go to internet via wan1 interface on my zyxel firewall.
