Not accepting home router password nothing works locked out

I have found a user guide for the Powerline Wireless N Extender PLA4231 dated 2013 at https://www.studerus.ch/de/support/downloadcenter/?kwfilter=PLA4201
The default password after reset to factory-default configuration is on page 1 of the user guide.
