We've finished the commissioning of our USG FLEX 700 and brought it into operation. The USG is acting as AP controller for our two Zyxel APs, like USG 110 did.
During commissioning of the second AP the following security licence note appears:

What does it mean? Do we really have to purchase another licence for a seconds AP?
Nevertheless both APs are working, showing green state and I'm able to connect.

    Hello @USG_User
The red message is simply a promoting purpose for the Secure WiFi license, it won't impact your AP management function, so don't worry about this notification, thank you.

    Thanks James,

But this misleads the user. It suggests that an additional license MUST be purchased because otherwise all configuration settings will not be applied.

If this is only an offer, why isn't it already displayed on the first AP, but only on the second?
Or is it just an additional feature that can only be activated for certain AP types?

Anyway, I expect that with professional firewalls that such "offer" or advertisements can be disabled by the user that it disappears. Every red bar gives the impression that danger is imminent.

    edit, after studying the manual:
Just learnt that our AP2 (WAX510D) has the capability to act as Remote AP when installed at home. But this option is disabled and its role is AP Mode only. That's why the red Secure WiFi Licence bar should be disabled, too!

    Hello @USG_User
    Thanks for your feedback.
As I mentioned, the red notification is for the Secure WiFi license which provides more AP features, such as remote AP and more managed AP numbers.
However, we will review and adjust the wording to avoid confusion, and the notification will appear only when the number of managed AP about to reach the limitation.

    Thanks again,
    James
