Welcome to the forum.
PLA6457 supports the ITU-T G.hn standard, whereas PLA5456 supports HomePlug AV2.
They both use 128-bit AES encryption.
and talk about the difference between G.hn and Homeplug AV2.
Since G.hn includes HomePlug AV2 as I understand it, then the two devices PLA5456 and PLA5456 will likely be compatible with each other.
