Good afternoon. I have 2 XS3800 in stock installed. aggregation is done on 4 ports. T9 port 1/9,2/9, T10 1/10,2/10. They have connected servers on which bond round robin is assembled. When testing iperf from one server to another (from T9 to T10). Traffic from T9 (1/9 -5Gb/s, 2/9-5Gb/s) for some reason goes to T10(1/10-10Gb/s, 2/10- 0Gbs/s). All links are included on 10Gb. Since T9 and T10 are assembled into an aggregate, why is the speed of 20 Gb/s not obtained.

    Hi @zebr,

    Link aggregation is used to increase the available bandwidth between network devices. The switch hashes incoming traffic based on the MAC address and/or IP address to achieve load sharing. If two users are sending files to a NAS, both can have full throughput/bandwidth per link, as the switch will forward the packets to different links due to differing source MAC addresses. However, one traffic flow is directed to a single physical port, and the maximum speed on one physical port is 1Gbps. Therefore, the maximum speed you'll see on the screen when sending files will still be 1Gbps.

    That is, there is no round robin on the switch. And the assembled channel is 2x10Gb/s. It will not work in full. Only as a reservation.
