Can't get multiple AP's to run

Options

Hi Community!

I have the following components:
-Fritzbox 5590 serving as a connection to the internet and as a DHCP
-Zyxel XGS1930-28 (non-POE) connected to the Fritzbox
-Netgear MS510TXPP (POE) connected to the XGS
-NWA210AX times 3 connected to the Netgear

When running one AP everything is fine and I can connect to the interet via mobile devices. The moment I start up the second one, the first one either loses his IP-Adress and goes offline, or the newly added one doesn't work.
I tried giving them static IP's but there is always one of them who doesn't take it and it shows no entry in LAN IP in the nebula control center.

I guess I might configured something wrong but I just can't figure it out.

Thank you!
-C

    Hi @Chromy,

This is more likely because your AP (210AX EG) just connects back to the Nebula after it disconnected.

I checked the event log and found its uplink disconnected frequently, which caused the AP cannot reach the default gateway. Please help to check the cable first.

    Hi @Chromy,

Could you help to enable Zyxel support for us to check?

Please go to Help (On the top of right) > Support Request > Zyxel support Access to enable and save.

    Hi @Zyxel_Melen ,

I changed a brand new cable with another brand new cable coming from the switch to the in-house cableing. And it seems to have done the trick. No disconnecting issues and no problem automatically switching from AP1 to AP2 and vice versa.

So my config wasn't the issue but a bad cable. Who would have thought…

Thank you so much for the help! :)
