Unable to get 2FA for VPN working on ZyWALL 110

I've followed all the instructions for enabling 2FA with email, but can't get it to work. I've enabled email notifications successfully (I get daily log emails), I've enabled IPSec VPN successfully as well and using it for years, but configuring and enabling 2FA does nothing. No email goes out and I am still able to log in to IPSec without issues, so it is basically doing nothing.  Any ideas?

    Hi @Zhewar,

     

    1. Make sure you follow the steps in the attached guide to configure 2FA on both ZyWALL 110 and ZyWALL VPN client.

    2. Check the log and see if the message is on the log.


    3. The mail may be detected as a spam mail.

    Thanks for the reply.

    With IPSec VPN I still do not get the 2FA email, and it connects just fine, so it basically bypasses 2FA even though it is supposed to be enabled.  For SSL VPN however it works as intended, I get the 2FA email and I click the link to authorize the connection.

    If you follow every step in the guide "How to configure 2 factor for VPN connection.pdf, it should work.
    Please check X-Auth on both ZyWALL 110 (page 4.) and ZyWALL IPSec VPN client (page. 8) are configured.
