Recommendation to keep GS1200 operating on V2.00 patch 1 firmware and later firmware.

Zyxel recommends GS1200 switches with the serial number of S214XXXXXXXXX (or later) to operate on V2.00 patch 1 firmware (minimum) for compatibility issues across multiple hardware revisions. Attempting to operate with prior firmware will encounter system failure in powering up powered devices. The first step of recovery is to upgrade to V2.00 patched 1 firmware to check if the switch returns to normal operation to power up connected powered devices.

If your switch can only forward traffic without performing PoE operation after returning to V2.00 patch 1 firmware, please contact your local support for RMA process.
