LTE3311 custom certificate, bridge mode and firmware
Dear friends,
I'm trying squeeze my LTE3311 router and configure a few things to improve stability and security, therefore I'll appreciate your advices.
- Is there any option to import custom certficate on LTE3311 model?
- Bridge mode is missing on my router. Based on vendor articles bridge option should be visible under WAN section. https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/360001658193-LTE3301-Q222-Configure-Bridge-Mode
3. My device is running firmware version as below, and I want to make sure firmware is up-to-date, however I can't find valid firmware for my model. Firmware search download page getting 0 results.
I was able to find firmware for Q222 and PLUS variations, but I'm having troubles to identify build of my device.
Any thoughts besides this model is EOL :) ?

Hello @CukierCukrowski
Welcome to the forum.
Your LTE3311 seems to be running the latest firmware version for it.
It is EOL as you thought.
One possible way forward with some work is to try to get OpenWRT running on it.
OpenWRT is supported on the Zyxel LTE3301 , see https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/zyxel/zyxel_lte3301-plus so it might be possible with work to get it working on the LTE3311.
Here is a forum thread about how to start investigating, with capturing the boot log through a UART connection, see https://forum.openwrt.org/t/how-to-port-to-a-new-router/42292 and https://openwrt.org/docs/techref/hardware/port.serial and https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-developer/adding_new_device
A UART connection can be used to capture the boot log of the Zyxel OEM firmware, which could then be used to work out what configuration is needed to make OpenWRT work on the LTE3311.
If OpenWRT is got working on the LTE3311, then you could install certificates on it, see https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/tls/certs
OpenWRT also does Bridge Mode if needed, see https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/bridge-mode
I hope that this is helpful.
Kind regards,
Tony
