import configuration in USG60 from USG40

Hi all,

recently I bought a Zyxel USG60. I already have Zyxel USG40.
My idea is to export configuration from USG40 to import in USG60.

Does anyone knows if is it possible or if is there any procedure envisioned for this task ?

Hi @ezekiel74,

 

The hardware of USG40 and USG60 are different and we have no converter to transform USG40's configuration file to USG60.

If you'd like to convert USG40's configuration file to USG60, you can edit the USG40's file and upload it to USG60.

Note that you have to compare the configuration between USG40 and USG60 carefully to edit the configuration file if the settings on the USG40 are complicated.

Here is an example for basic settings.

1. On USG40, download startup-config.config. Open the file and delete the first three lines.

2. Add wan2 related settings in the file such as wan2 interface and wan2_ppp interface.

Delete OPT related settings such as zone and opt_ppp interface.
