WLAN Controllers and Port Speeds

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but why does the NXC2500 have only 1-gbit ports when in most cases the 802.11ax access points (e.g. WAX610D) have 2.5-gbit uplinks? Generally, I would prefer managing the WLAN locally over the cloud, but routing all the traffic from the router to the rest of the LAN through 1-gbit ports on the WLAN controller seems like a serious performance price.

    We greatly appreciate your input and for highlighting this concern. Regrettably, the current AP controllers (ex: NXC2500, USG FLEX series, ATP series, and others) do not support the 2.5G LAN ports.

    In response to your feedback, we have initiated discussions about developing an updated version of the AP Controller that supports 2.5G port speed. Your suggestion has been transformed into a feature request and can be found in our idea section:
