Il router zyxel lte5398-m904 ha due attacchi per antenna esterna, ma
servono per potenziare la ricezione 4g o per aumentare la portata del
wifi?

The zyxel lte5398-m904 router has two external antenna sockets, but are they used to boost 4g reception or to increase the wifi range?

    Welcome to the forum.

    According to table 2 of the user guide at https://download.zyxel.com/LTE5398-M904/user_guide/LTE5398-M904_EU_1.00_2.00%20Ed2.pdf the LTE5398-M904 does not have external antennas.

    Do you have the correct model number?

    For the model types with external antennas, they are to improve the signal strength of the Wireless WAN, see below extract from the user guide.

    I have the same issue. The router has the sockets, but the web-interface does not support changing from internal to external antenna!

    This LTE-Router is still for sale explicitly mentioning an external antenna port. See the screenshot from Amazon.it.

    Does Zyxel provide a workaround?

    Good news,

    Really fast reply from the support on my request with suggestions which could cover the problem.

    The LTE5398-M904 supports the external antenna providing a hardware switch at the left of the
    phone port.

    The confusion arises (my opinion) from the manual LTE5398-M904_EU_1.00_2.00 Ed2. 
    Figure 15 shows the switch at the left of the phone port. On the other hand in table 2 Zyxel device comparison is mentioned that the LTE5398-M904 has no support for external antennas.
