Nebula supports several features to optimize roaming for connected devices.

They can be found at Configure > Access points > SSID advanced settings > Advanced settings section:

  1. Assisted roaming (IEEE 802.11k/v):
Assisted Roaming in Nebula networks, enabled by IEEE 802.11k/v standards.
    1. When the connected clients request 802.11k neighbor lists, the AP will provide with a list of neighbor Nebula APs for potential roaming.
    2. When the 802.11v capable clients are using the 2.4 GHz band, the AP can send 802.11v messages to steer clients to the 5 GHz band.
  2. 802.11r (Fast Basic Service Set Transition):
It facilitates faster transitions between Nebula APs in a network by sharing security keys across them, reducing the time for re-authentication when clients roam from one AP to another.
