Hi,

There is a NXC5200 controller, there are access points at 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz and a few at only 2.4 GHz. The problem is this: the client connected to the 5 GHz point when moving to a zone where only 2.4 GHz the client does not automatically connect to the 2.4 GHz network.

    Hi @ummka

Could you help to confirm if the SSID of 2.4G is the same as 5G?
Please also help to confirm the 2.4G signal is good to connect or not.
    Thanks.

    Joslyn

Of course, SSID 2.4 GHz such as SSID 5 GHz.
The 2.4 GHz signal is very good. When you go from one end of the corridor where there is an access point at 5 GHz to the other end of the corridor where there is an access point at 2.4 GHz, the 5 GHz signal is very weak and disappears, and the 2.4 signal of the access point is excellent, but the client does not automatically switch to it

    Hi @ummka

It seems 2.4G and 5G will be serviced by different APs.
Did you enable the captive portal for the stations? Will the station get the same IP address of 2.4G and 5G?
If possible, please collect the diagnostic when the roaming failed and provide me the topology.
Please send me the information via private message for secure.
    Thanks.
