The behavior of IGMP Unknown Multicast Frame is an independent feature. It functions without the need to enable the IGMP-snooping feature.
This feature is designed to manage the handling of multicast frames for which the switch does not have any IGMP snooping information. It helps in controlling and optimizing multicast traffic within the network.
When this feature is active, the switch will handle multicast frames that are not associated with any known IGMP group differently. Depending on the switch's configuration, it can either forward these unknown multicast frames to all ports or block them.
