If your Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) connection is not coming up, it could be due to several reasons. Here's a checklist of things to consider and troubleshoot:

  1. LACP Configuration Matching:
    • Ensure that LACP is configured consistently on both ends of the link. The LACP mode (Active or Passive) and key must match on both sides.
  2. Cable and Physical Connection:
    • Confirm that the cables are securely connected to the correct ports on both devices. Check for any physical damage to the cables or connectors.
  3. Port Speed and Duplex Settings:
    • Verify that the speed and duplex settings on both ends of the link match. Inconsistent speed or duplex settings can prevent the link from coming up.
  4. Check device configuration: you can also SSH to the device and "show run" to confirm that the device is actually applying the configuration from NCC.

For this instance, I have aggregate port 9 and 10 as trunk and port 11 and 12 as another trunk, and the configuration are applied to the device.
