If there is no VLAN tag in the uplink and you need to change the management VLAN on a switch, then you will need to set the corresponding PVID on the uplink port of the switch.

For instance, if you plan to change the management VLAN from 1 to 10 and the current link is on port 1, then you can change the port 2 PVID to 10 and then go to the "switch settings" page to change the management VLAN 1 from 10 and then plug-in the port from 1 to 2, then switch can on online with the management VLAN 10.
