GS1200-8HP (NOT v2!) firmware upgrade safe?
The support/download list and information around it talks about the GS1200-8HPv2 upgrade firmware and after the announcement earlier this year about the security issue, I am wondering if I can apply the firmware listed for the v2 managed switch to my "v1" (no "version" of the hardware mentioned on the underneath sticker).
Given the readings elsewhere in this forum about firmware upgrade issues and announced recommendations for some hardware versions/serial numbers, I thought it would be best to ask before I try it.
I'm on firmware version V1.00(ABFF.1)C0.

Hi @Breezer,
Since the GS1200-8HP is end of its life, you may find the latest firmware on
.You may also click this download link to download.
In addition, it is not recommended to use V2 firmware to upgrade your V1 switch.
