Zyxel Nebula Control Center Release Note

Common NCC (Organization, Site-wide, etc.):

  1. Added MSP Backup and Restore features for the security firewall & router. (Nebula MSP Pack license is required)

  2. The main menu is enhanced to be expandable/collapsible.

  3. Wireless clients widgets on the dashboard are renamed to Access Point clients for consistency.

  4. On the client page, for Wi-Fi clients in either the Access Point or Security Router clients list, a block policy will be provisioned to the AP and Security Router at the same time.
  5. Incorporated MSP ID and notes within organization settings for comprehensive management by MSPs.

  6. Anyone can chat with the AI-powered chatbot to get more information.

Wireless LAN (WLAN):

  1. Support new WiFi 7 AP model. The NWA130BE is added to Nebula in this release. NWA130BE is a BE11000 NebulaFlex AP that comes with 2 management modes: standalone and Nebula cloud managed modes.
  2. SSID availability is merged into SSID advanced settings.

  3. Added SSID grouping feature which allows to create more than 8 SSIDs per site.

  4. Voucher can be enabled on multiple SSIDs now. (Nebula Plus or Pro Pack license is required)

  5. Scheduled reboot feature now can be supported on NWA1123ACv3
  6. Added more supported countries for WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 (6Ghz) models.

Switching:

  1. Support DHCP relay and added DHCP option 82 for DHCP relay. (Nebula Pro Pack license is required)

  2. Added CPU and memory usage into the device detail page.

  3. Added Hardware Monitor feature shows temperature, fan speed, and power source status.

  4. Added switch hardware abnormally alert.

  5. GS1350 series supports Remote SSH and auto-configuration recovery.
    Note: The Nebula 17.30 works best with GS1350 firmware v4.90. GS1350s that are not updated to V4.90 will encounter a message "Not up to date, requires an upgrade to the latest firmware". Though this does not impact the Switch operation but we encourage users to upgrade to v4.90 for smoother operation.

Security Firewall:

  1. Site-full admin now can configure Remote SSH and Remote configuration.

Security Router:

  1. Threat Report is revamped for clearer insights.

  2. Radio and SSID-related settings of the Security Router are mirrored to Access Points and vice versa.

Mobile Router:

  1. Support the new MR model. The Nebula FWA505 is added to Nebula in this release.

    I cannot find this. Is it on the summary page for each Switch? I'm using the GS-1920 range, maybe it's not available for them?

    Hi @SkyGoat,

    Thanks for asking. The hardware monitor feature will support GS1920 once the V4.90 firmware is released. It will be displayed on the detailed page of each switch, which is under the switch status block.

    Update:

    For switch part item #5

    GS1350 series supports Remote SSH and auto-configuration recovery.
    Note: The Nebula 17.30 works best with GS1350 firmware v4.90, which will be released at the end of February 2024. GS1350s that are not updated to V4.90 will encounter a message "Not up to date, requires an upgrade to the latest firmware". Though this does not impact the Switch operation but we encourage users to upgrade to v4.90 for smoother operation.

    I am using GS1920-8HP Switch's, We have checked Switch firmware version ,it's showing Current version:V4.8 0(AB.0) ,I need Firmware V4.90 What i do ?
