Hello,

it seems my Wireless AP Zyxel NWA 210 died.

No LED, either on PoE or on DC. Also a high pitched noise (coil whine is my best quess) on PoE. While switch shows only PoE but no connection .

Help would be appreciated.

Best Regards

Felx Schneider

    Hi @FelixSchneider

To better understand the current condition of your NWA210AX, could you please provide the following information:

    1. Was the AP operating normally before the issue occurred? Have there been any recent changes to your network connection?
    2. Could you please locate your PC on the same subnet as the AP and scan your network using the ZON utility? You can find instructions on how to use the ZON utility here:
How to use ZON utility? — Zyxel Community
Please check if your PC is still able to reach the AP.
    3. Additionally, could you please provide a video recording of your AP? This will help us analyze the situation more accurately.

    Hello,

    thankthanks for the quick reply…

    1. Yes it did, also prior to the fault no changes to the configuraticonfiguration where made. Also no power outage.
    2. No my PC can't reach the AP, not over ZON and also other Pentesting Tools can't reach it… Correct VLan and everything, just to be sure I tried it with the Pvid
    3. I will, in a private Message

    Hi @FelixSchneider

Thank you for providing the additional information and the video recording.

Based on the details shared, it appears to be a hardware issue with your AP. As a troubleshooting step, you could try changing the ethernet cable and port. If the issue persists, we recommend contacting your local Zyxel support to proceed with an RMA process:

Please feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.
