Zyxel NWA 210 Audable on Load

Hello,

following strange behaviour on my new and now third NWA 210:

During load, e.g. a Speedtest, I can hear the AP. Sounds like Coil Whine.

It is audable from 10 feet away, and in a quiet room its a bit distracting.

This happens only, on the 5 GHz Band (note channel width 160 MHz) I will try to test with 80 MHz and report.

I don't think I'am supposed to hear my AP.

Help would be appreciated...

I cannot reproduce it on my NWA210AX, could you help to share some detailed information for further checking:

1. Your device's serial number.
2. The power up method of your NWA210AX (PoE or power adapter).
3. A recording of the noise.

This Forum post in Question 3 (Q3) describes essentially the same noise and Problem above a certain Bandwidth or not idle use It will start Hissing or Coil Whine, whatever you want to call it...

I will also compare with the two other NWA 210, although i did not hear anything before (they were from 2021, one recently replaced because it did not turn on)

I looked at all three of my NWA 210 AP's the other two are much quieter in comparison…

I will PM you the details for the "loud" AP.
A bit of a setback but your RMA policy and warranty are great conserning such issues…😇
