Good morning everbody,

I got a network with an nxc2500 and 8 NWA3160-n running 2 different SSID for internal and guest wifi.
Everything is running perfectly.
Now I wanted to add one NWA3560-n and that AP is always shown as MGMT in the AP management overview of the NXC's webinterface and it seems that it is not connecting to the network at all.

The firmware of the NWA3560-n is 2.23, the NXC's firmware is V5.40(AAIG.0).

I cannot even ping the ip of the AP that it gets from the NXC.

Would be great if anyone coud help me out.

Rgds...

I suggest you do hardware reset for NWA3560-N and access AP with default IP(192.168.1.2) via terminal software.
Following the steps let AP get the IP again.
    1. The command of check AP's mode
    Router> show hybrid-mode
    * managed mode:
    Router> configure terminal
Router(config)# capwap ap vlan ip address dhcp
    Router(config)# write
    *Standalone mode:
    Router> configure terminal
Router(config)# manager ap vlan ip address dhcp
    Router(config)# write
2.Confirm that the traffic between AP and controller is pass.
If the traffic between AP and controller is ok, but the NWA3560-N still shows offline on the controller GUI, I suggest you upgrade NWA3560-N to version 5.10 by manual.
    3. Download the v5.10 firmware for NWA3560-N by following link:

    4. Upgrade firmware by FTP.

Thanks this is going to help me out I think.
Do I need to extract the file "nwa5kcn50" from the dropbox to get the .bin file or just upload the whole thing?
If so, please provide the extraction password.

    Best regards ...

The nwa5Kcn50 is a bin file. You can use it directly and it doesn't need to be extract.
Please following this steps to upload firmware.

    Hi Kathy,

    thanks for your help.
I did the firmware update and directly after that is was no longer accessible via the default IP 192.168.1.2 .

I connected it to the controller and it still shows me "Mgmt" but the correct firmware 5.10 (UJC.3).

    Best regards

    @Mirko ,

It seems NWA3560-N was managed by controller successfully.
The NWA3xxx-N and NWA5xxx-N are phase out product, so they will be only support on the version 5.10 with controller. The v5.10 later version will not support them.

So after 20 hrs of connection to the controller it still shows me "mgmt" while all the other APs are showing "compatible".

Please take a look at the screenshot I took.

The logfile is giving me "diconnected reason:idle in disc state" for that AP.

    Hi @Mirko

Could you confirm that the NXC can ping to this NWA3560-N?
If not, please check the network between NXC and NWA3560-N.
If yes, is any possible provide the remote session for us to access the NWA3560-N via ssh? (send message for me if you can provide the remote session.)
    I want to debug it.

If it is inconvenient to provide the remote session, please collect this AP(NWA3560-N) diagnostic and NXC diagnostic for me.

    Hi Kathy,

I wrote you a few emails to say that the concerned network is now accessible.
    Did you get them?
Now you ought to be able to access the controller.

    Best regards
