SCR 50 AXE how to create secure connection to my synology NAS?
hi,
my SCR50 AXE is working as follows:
ISP Router → SCR50 AXE→ MY router → SYNOLOGY NAS
I can access my synology NAS from the internet through the quick connect of Synology. therefore anyone in theory who knows the URL can get to the nas and try to hack it
How can I protect the access from internet?
can this be done on the SCR50AXE?
if yes can you please explain the process???
ciao,
Antonio

Hi @antoniocerasuolo
If you know which port the Synology uses for the Quick Connect service, you can allow access by configuring either of the following options
1.Enable the necessary ports on wan interface.2.Set up a NAT rule for your NAS and specify allowed remote IP addresses:
3. If you are accessing the NAS from working locations, consider establishing a VPN tunnel to SCR to ensure secure connectivity to the NAS.Share your feedback through our survey, make your voice heard, and win a WiFi 7 AP!
