Hi @otello1,
These two firmware are the same. Since the release note of the old one lacked some information, you may reference the screenshot below, we uploaded the new one which updated a note for the new feature.
Thanks for your kind notice, we will remove the old one on the download page.
Edit: The old firmware has been removed.By the way, I assume you are currently facing the problem you cannot change to 2-port stacking when your switches are in stacking mode. Kindly remind you to back up the configuration before returning to standalone mode. Apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi @otello1,
So we have to remove the master one by one from the stack ?
>Yes, the stacking commands will not synchronize to other stacking switches. You have to remove stacking one by one.
So we have to choose the port mode only when the switch is in stand-alone mode or it is possibile to change that also when they already are in a stack (stacking yet enabled) ?
>You can only choose the stacking port-mode in standalone mode. It is not possible to choose in stacking mode.
It is possible mix switches configured with 2-portmode and swtiches configured in 4 portmode?
>No, this scenario is not supported. Please connect with the same port-mode.
Hope it helps.

Your assumption is correct. We have some switch in stacking mode but we cannot see the option to convert from 4 to 2 port stacking mode as written in the manual.
So we have to backup the configuration, return to standalone and after that?

Hi @otello1,

Yes. Back up the configuration because returning to standalone will erase the configuration.

We have saved the configuration, disabled stacking mode but only the master switch rebooted enterning in standalone mode.
- So we have to remove the master one by one from the stack ?
After the reboot the switch correctly show the choise "2-port-mode / 4-port-mode" stack.
2. So we have to choose the port mode only when the switch is in stand-alone mode or it is possibile to change that also when they already are in a stack (stacking yet enabled) ?
3. It is possible mix switches configured with 2-portmode and swtiches configured in 4 portmode?
Thank you
